Eavan Derbyshire was born and raised in Dublin (Ireland). From a young age she discovered her talent and connection for art. In her final years in school she faced her first crucial 'conflict of interest': Her class timetable was set up in such a way that her mandatory foreign language class (German) clashed with her favorite subject (Art). Eavan had no other choice but to study Art outside of school hours; she dedicated countless hours per week on her own. Her effort and passion was rewarded by scoring the highest marks in Art during her final exams.

Later that year Eavan started university and graduated in 2008 with a BA Hons Degree in Marketing at the Dublin Institute of Technology. As an act of rational decision she gained some work experience in the field of Marketing and Sales  - quickly realising that this world was not her passion.

It was time to follow the heart: Driven by a clear intention to turn her true passion into a profession, Eavan started studying Makeup at the Portobello Institute, Dublin, in 2011 and successfully graduated a year later with two diplomas

(ITEC Certificate in Makeup; ITEC Diploma in Fashion, Theatre and Media Makeup).

A change of scenery followed at the end of 2012 as Eavan moved to Berlin. This vibrant, creative place to be, inspired her to start working on building a portfolio whilst improving her German language skills. It did not take long until she was working on professional projects, such as music videos (e.g. Boy Harsher, Boss Hoss, Fler, Parov Stelar and McFitti) as a Freelance Makeup Artist.

From 2013 to 2022 Eavan also worked for MAC Cosmetics. Where she honed and refinied her skills, utilizing the exceptional training the company offers, hosting Workshops for customers and Pros alike. As a member of the MAC Event Team she also had the opportunity to work on events and productions such as:

Further highlights of her work experience include working on the teams of internationally renowned Makeup Artists such as Val Garland, Terry Barber, Inge Grognard, Sammy Mourabit & Lauren Parsons;

she created makeup looks for celebrity clients such as Caro Dauer and Nikeata Thompson; and worked on the set of several Film and TV productions the Duncan Jones Netflix production 'Mute', Baran Boodar's series '1899' and Chad Stahelski's  'John Wick 4'.
